Britain’s new rookie driver was fastest again on the final day of testing at the Valencia circuit ending a very successful week of testing, which left the Vodafone Mclaren Mercedes Team fastest on three days.

Today Spain’s Pedro De La Rosa and Britain’s Lewis Hamilton, Lewis taking over from Fernando Alonso.

Mclaren have had no major problems except on the final day of testing when Spain’s Pedro De La Rosa ended the day in a cloud of smoke with what seams to be an engine failure. The team managed to keep away from major problems, what happened to Pedro today is still being examined by Mclaren engineers and any advancements in the problem will be announced as soon as we hear them.

The final days times are shown below.

Pos. Driver Team Time Laps

1 L. Hamilton McLaren 01:11.119 112

2 K. Räikkönen Ferrari 01:11.855 112

3 R. Kubica BMW 01:12.242 57

4 P. de la Rosa McLaren 01:12.455 64

5 G. Fisichella Renault 01:12.572 96

As the new season only starts in 7 weeks some teams have significant technical problems to fix, while others are doing fine and that have no problems with their reliability, thankfully one of those teams that are not suffering are Mclaren, will times change, and will Mclaren win?
