The team are testing at the Bahrain International Circuit and race drivers Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton completed the days work completing 151 laps of the 5.4 km circuit thus completing a whopping 815.4 km.

The Woking based squad set Britain Lewis Hamilton to complete long stint runs in the searing heat to get an understanding of what to set the car up like in the season opener on March 18th at Melbourne.

Fernando Alonso, we think, was doing a short runs which can explain his faster times, although Alonso finished second his time was a massive 8 tenths slower than BMW driver Nick Heidfeld, however Nick was doing a simulated qualifying runs, and then race runs, it is uncertain what jobs the drivers were doing so there is no need to worry. Saying that Bmw do look in a strong position.

Testing will continue on Saturday.
