Britain’s Lewis Hamilton and Spain’s reigning double world champion Fernando Alonso completed McLarens testing work completing 126 laps in total. Alonso finished 1st while the rookie (Hamilton) finished 2nd trailing behind Alonso by a tenth of a second.
The Woking based squad finished their week by finishing on top. This brings heaps of confidence to the team and its fans, this test being penultimate three day test before the season starts on March 18th.
Fernando Alonso was so dominant over the rest of the field that he finished the day 0.8 seconds ahead of the next non McLaren runner, Felipe Massa and Kimi Räikkönen. Although Fernando finished 1st. I believe that he was running on low fuel. However if he had a decent amount of fuel on board McLarens rivals and any other team should be running scared. If the car is truly this fast and this reliable their could either be a triple world champion on the grid, the only rookie f1 champion on it.
Today’s complete testing times are shown below.
