Alonso Shows Early Pace

Double world champion Fernando Alonso finished first at the Albert Park circuit, his nearest competitor was a huge 1.5 seconds away from Fernando, with rookie Lewis Hamilton impressing the world by finishing 4th in his first ever grand prix practice session and this session wasn’t easy to complete.
Even Ferrari’s Kimi Räikkönen struggled to complete a time, he did but his time was far from fast, his best time throughout the session only reached 1.39.242 some 10 seconds behind pace setter Fernando Alonso.
The track was wet at the start of the session which didn’t help teams to tune their cars to the right set up ahead of qualifying, to the end of the session the track dried out and conditions were easier to drive in.
