Australia Qualifying: 2nd and 4th

Spains Fernando Alonso managed to put his car on the grid 2nd, looking to have some slight handling problems with the car, Lewis on the other hand upstaged many of his more experienced drivers finishing his first qualifying session an impressive 4th.
In the first session Lewis was blisteringly quick until the Ferraris came out although still after that he was under 5 hundredths of a second slower than the Ferrari’s, things are looking good so far for Lewis. Obviously he would of wanted to get pole, but to do that on his first session would have been a superhuman effort, 4th is very encouraging for the young brit.
Being out paced by rookie Lewis is not one of the best things to happen to you, especially if you’re a reigning double world champion Fernando Alonso. Saying that though, Fernando too posted some super quick times round the Albert Park circuit, in qualifying 2 he used up another set of Bridgestone’s soft tyres just to beat the young brit.
Experience showed however in the third pole position session shoot out, as Fernando bettered Lewis by such a small margin that you could say that Lewis and Fernando are on the same line of pace, that is incredibly impressive for the young brit, and I wish both Lewis and Fernando the best of luck for the race tomorrow.
