Practice 3 Lewis Fastest
By Sam Cooper
April 7 2007
Britain’s Lewis Hamilton has achieved the fastest time ahead of the grand prix qualifying, that will start in under an hour, and his time was 1:34:811.
Despite this time, Lewis only did 14 laps, so we have our suspicions here at McLaren Fans that the McLaren’s free practice strategy was qualifying runs, but don’t be surprised if we’re wrong
Lewis posted his time with 21 minutes to go in the final session, other drivers had a very good chance to try and beat Lewis, so why didn’t they?
Well, the most obvious one is that Ferrari or indeed any other team couldn’t keep up and post a faster time. Although this could be an indication that Ferrari are concerned with Kimi’s engine, as he completed just 7 laps, which isn’t a lot, will Kimi go boom.
