McLaren have joined forces with Britain’s leading artists, McLaren will show their work at the MTC from this Thursday, with artists like Jacob Epstein and Anthony Caro.
The partnership will allow the artistic designs of previous McLaren cars, which are on show at the MTC, blend with work from the best artists in Britain. McLaren’s involvement will make it possible for more great artists to create more great work.
Ron Dennis, McLaren Group Chairman and CEO
"McLaren is synonymous with cutting-edge technology whilst the Arts Council Collection works with and acquires work from cutting-edge artists. We intend that the exhibition will create debate about contemporary art amongst McLaren’s employees as well as stimulate their individual creativity."
Caroline Douglas, Head of the Arts Council Collection
"This is an exciting new venture for the Collection, and one which will bring obvious and immediate benefit in terms of new purchases and our support for the vibrant arts scene in this country. It is a highly benign collaboration which maintains the independence of our acquisitions process at a time when the Collection’s ambition is greater than ever."
Candida Gertler, Outset
"We are proud to have actively shaped this alliance which brings corporate funding to the Arts Council in a meaningful way. The model underscores our Foundation’s mission of facilitating public art through engagement with pioneering private partners and we hope that it encourages others to follow McLaren’s lead".
