From one emotion to another

It is claimed Ron fought back tears while speaking to German broadcaster ‘Premiere’, adding: "I am pleased for the entire team, but particularly for Lewis' family," It seems Ron went from one emotion to another, he was left scathing about the new safety car regulations, he was less then impressed at the new rules.

An emotional Ron Dennis revealed he did not mount the podium with Lewis Hamilton, because he required a 'quiet moment' to take in the occasion.

It is claimed Ron fought back tears while speaking to German broadcaster ‘Premiere’, adding:

"I am pleased for the entire team, but particularly for Lewis' family,"

He also directed a special message to Anthony Hamilton, Lewis Hamilton’s father, stating: "You have a very special son."

It seems Ron went from one emotion to another, he was left scathing about the new safety car regulations, he was less then impressed at the new rules, and felt it was unfair on drivers and they need to address the issue at the next GPDA.

"I was genuinely frustrated by the impact of the safety car on our race," Dennis told reporters. "This is something that has been raised by the Grand Prix Drivers' Association as being unfair on drivers because it is out of the teams' control. It is one of those changes that was made for good reasons but has had too much of a repercussion on this race and will have on other races. I hope the FIA and the other teams will learn from today and that we can do a mid-season regulatory change to avoid penalising other drivers in the future, because it could be anybody caught out by it."

His outburst comes after it was Fernando Alonso who was the most compromised by this new ruling.

Ron said: "It just doesn't work for Formula One," he said. "How silly would we have looked if we had run out of fuel because of the safety car? It is just so unfair, not just on us, but on anyone."
