Heikki to test the new McLaren MP4-23 next week.

Finish superstar Heikki Kovalainen is set to test the new McLaren MP4-23 at next weeks test at Jerez following its launch at the Mercedes Benz museum in Stuttgart. The fin will attend the launch and then will fly to the Jerez circuit located in southern Spain.

It is not known who will join Heikki at next weeks test, the favorite is Lewis Hamilton, as the young Brit will need to get accustumed to the new car ahead of his second world championship season with the McLaren team.

"I will fly from Stuttgart straight to Spain to test with our new car," Kovalainen said. "I am really looking forward to my first outing with the McLaren."
