The Vodafone McLaren Mercedes formula one team have completed the third day of testing at the Valencia circuit, with race drivers Heikki Kovalainen and Lewis Hamilton completing the teams work schedule for the day. The pair finished in first and 4th places respectively, the pair also completing a massive 207 laps during the day.

It was McLaren driver Heikki Kovalainen who topped the timesheets on the third day of testing at the Valencia circuit, completing the circuit in a best time of 1 minute 11 seconds exactly, giving McLaren reason to cheer, as the next runner, Felipe Massa, was a huge 0.6 seconds behind the new flying fin.

In third was Massa’s teammate, Kimi Raikkonen, who managed to complete 108 laps around the eastern Spanish circuit, with a best lap time of 01:11.850, eight tenths of a second slower than pace setter Kovalainen.

Runner up in last years world drivers championship, Lewis Hamilton, finished the third day in fourth place, two tenths of a second shy of world champion, Kimi Raikkonen. Lewis and Heikki focused on endurance testing, ahead of the 2008 Australian Grand Prix, which is just 50 days away.

The Honda F1 Racing team debuted their new 2008 challenger, the RA108, today, the car didn’t appear to be majorly quick, however, Rubens looked to be doing comparison work between the RA107 and the RA108.
