Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team boss Ron Dennis has confirmed that McLaren's two drivers, Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen will receive equal treatment during this years formula one season. His comments come after it was suggested that Lewis Hamilton would get number one status at McLaren after double world champion Fernando Alonso left the team.
We've always treated our drivers equally, and we intend to continue to do so," Dennis told F1's official website.
This year, both Lewis and Heikki are entirely happy with that policy, and I anticipate no problems from either of them in that regard. I expect them to be competitive and collaborative in equal measure," he added.
Though, last season proved that equal treatment doesn't always work out the way team bosses planed. This season won't be different, as Heikki and Lewis are borth very competative drivers and will challenge each other, to a point where they'll run each other off the track- just like Senna and Prost in 1989.
