McLaren F1 Fans say farewell.

Every so often in life...more often as you get older like I am...you say goodbye to someone. I know it's not F1 news to the masses, but at this site, it is.
Bikus, a loyal member of this site that post a good bit of the useful information that we get, has notified us here that we've lost a member. His name is Mark. He was 24 years old. Mark is survived by his direct family and a girlfriend and young daughter. Mark was involved in a car accident and passed away February the 9th, 2003.
Sometimes we all feel that loss of life at such a young age is a waste. I have never really thought of it that way. My take is that the candle that burns twice as brightly burns half as long. Mark was an avid McLaren fan who contributed his kindness, points of view, humour and news to this site. He will be sorely missed.
As for a waste...not a chance. He touched not only the lives of many members up here who will remember him always, but leaves behind a young life that will grow up someday to be a good and decent person.
God in his wisdom decides when it is that our time is up. My faith in him tells me that God needed him worse than we did. That is usually the way of things, and I am not in a possition (nor do I want to be) to doubt his wisdom and judgement.
Bon Voyage Dutchy! Godspeed, and we'll see you when we get there. Keep the flag waving and leave the light on.
On behalf of all of McLaren Fans
