Kimi takes the poll at Indy

With the title race boiling down to the last two races of the season, Indianapolis is the key to who will be in the drivers seat for Suzuka.

In a shocker, Kimi Raikkonen has taken the poll at the U.S. GP at Indianapolis. The Ferrari's have shown the pace all weekend, as have the Williams BMW's, but Kimi takes it in the end. The issue now is: How much fuel is Kimi carrying? The rumours are already rampant that he has far less fuel on board than Schumacher who sits in 7th, and Juan Pablo Montoya who sits in 4th. That said, there are still the buffers of Rubens, and Panis that could potentially slow the field up behind Kimi to give him the lead he needs to come out ahead after his first stop.

It seems pretty clear that the strategies of the teams are going to play a crucial and deciding factor here. For instance, if DC can beat Mike at the start, it's a foregone conclusion that he will do his best to hold Mike up. As well, should Rubens get Kimi at the start, the same thing will happen.

With the FIA serving notice to the teams that any team orders will not be tolerated, it's going to be interesting to see what the drivers and teams do.

Here's hoping that Kimi can hold on for the win...and the chance to live another day to fight for the World Title.
