Williams once again dominated the timesheets at Valencia, this time with an testing attack by Nico Rosberg. A couple of tenths off of the German driver was Kimi Raikkonen, who joined the team for his first test of this week.
After only a handful of laps the Finn encountered a problem with his Mercedes engine which left him track-side for the rest of the running. Team mate Juan Pablo Montoya was more fortunate in the reliablility status and completed 85 laps, but setting just the seventh fastest lap of the day.
