Kimi's choice depends on MP4-21

Norbert Haug has told the Stuttgarter Nachrichten newspaper "Depending on the equipment we give him, Kimi will make his decision." It was, therefore maybe not the time to reinforce earlier media reports;
''We will have a difficult start to the season, but we will also have the strength to then catch up.''
The problem lies, according to reports, with Mercedes' V8 engine. However as we told you here last week, Kimi set a blistering lap time at Valencia which shows some promising speed.
The issue in 2006 could also be in reliability. The last day in Valencia test was infact, the first time Raikkonen did not have a failure or breakage in the MP4-21.
Renault's Pat Symonds seems to think that McLaren will be a force to be reckoned this season with saying the team 'are certainly getting there' and that the team are starting to look competitive.
From the outset though, Symonds thinks Honda will be his team's main competitors.
