Taylor Keeps Stump

Chairman David Taylor is keeping stump about the identity of the six shortlisted managers. It is know that one former town player is on the list, but it's not Peter Jackson.

Taylor has interviewed four of the six already and will see the remaining two in the next couple of days. The whole board will then meet to decide the best candidates from the six. These possible Town managers will then be interviewed by the whole board of four. The outcome won't be revealed until over a week.
The prospective managers are all being told about the financial situation at the club and that they will have to work in a tight budget. Plus they have been told that they will need to get in a few players from those available this summer, probably on frees.

Taylor says that they will choose a manager first and then deal with the position of coach rather than appointing both at the same time. The board will put in suggestions for the coach's position but will also listen to the new manager to his preferences in that area.

So it seems as though Town fans will just have to have some patience before the name of the new manager is known. So when we know it will all have been sorted out. Taylor says the candidates are very good quality so I just hope when the time comes that the fans agree with him. It's about time we had something positive to sing about.
