Former Keeper on trial with Rivals

Former Town keeper Martyn Margetson is on trial with 2nd division rivals Cardiff City.

Rivals Cardiff have keeper Martyn Margetson, who was released this summer, on trial.

After failing to sign Grimsby keeper Danny Coyne, boss Lennie Lawrence has is eyes on the former town number 13.

Coyne left for the Grimsby pre-season tour after talks with Cardiff fell through. Mr Lawrence is said to have his eyes on a permanent signing after the trial, thats if all goes well.

Margetson was a regular last season but is available on a free transfer after contract negotiations went "down the pan".

The former keeper has been replaced with Southampton third-choice keeper Scott bevan who is on a loan with Huddersfield.
