Wadsworth eyes South American talent

Wadsworth is considering making a move for an Argentinian midfielder and taking two Peruvians on trial.

Manager Mick is thinking about making an offer for Argentinian midfielder Cristian Colusso. He also has his eyes on young Peruvian pair Gianfranco Tome and Alonso Madueno - they are both aged 17.

The 24 year-old Colusso's honours include being capped at both under 20 and under 23 level for Argentina. Wadsworth's interest in Colusso was probably motivated by the fact that he had a loan spell at Oldham last season while Wadsworth was in charge, he came from top club Rosario Central.

Due to the economic crisis in South America there are plenty of good players going cheap or free - and Wadsworth believes Colusso is one of them.

In February Colusso moved to Boundary Park and scored twice in thirteen matches.

In the next few games Wadsworth will take a deep look at his squad to decide if Colusso and the two trialists would add anything, other than depth.
