Is Wadsworth to try his favoured 4-3-3 formation out with Huddersfield?
Eager new manager Mick Wadsworth could give Town a whole new shape. He looks to employ a new 4-3-3 formation which will mean triple trouble for those poor 2nd Division defences, we hope!
Mick played a 4-3-3 formation in the friendly against Bishop Auckland in which Town's reserve team won 4-0! But they are a non-league team.
He was due to play his new tactic at Lancaster this afternoon, if he had the right players. He has used the 4-3-3 tactic at many of his previous clubs at it is one he likes and will probably use next season.
The reserve side will also be employing this formation so that if any of our youngsters move into the first-team they should be perfectly comfortable. Town also beat Halifax 2-0 in a practice match and Wadsworth is said to be pleased with what he has seen so far.
Town have another behind-closed-doors match against Manchester City on Thursday and entertain 3rd division outfit Lincoln City a week from now.
