After a hectic day of pre-season training a 1-1 draw against first division side Bradford (for now anyway) pleased Town fans and club associates alike.  The game was 75 minutes long and split into 3 halves, (I suppose I should call them thirds) of 25 minutes each.  Town took the lead early with Thorrington scoring after 5 minutes and fielded a 4-3-3 formation, which looks to be our new tactic.

Town's early goal was a cracking volley by American lad Thorrington from 25 yards out.  In the first two periods Huddersfield had many chances but failed to convert them.  They were extremely unlucky to concede an equalizer late in the third-period, which was spoilt by a strong wind which hindered the players, (well half of them) and that half happened to be us.  Of town's allotted 3 substitutes, MacDonald, Stead and Dyson, all of them were used.

The overall performance was encouraging with lots of good individual contributions, you may have noticed in the team sheet that Martin Smith played today, you know, Martin Smith?

Is this start encouraging?  Drawing with Bradford whose piggy banks are slightly lighter than usual?  Post your views on the message board.
