Recent German player Christian Brutschin received his International clearance and was selected in the reserve team that played Southend at Whaddon Road today. 2 fans present at the game give there brief thoughts about him.

bryanj's thoughts:-

Went to see the reserves play Southend today, the new German player, Christian Brutschin was playing on the right wing. He did not really have a chance to show what he can do, he hardly had a touch of the ball.

The couple of times he got it he made quite good runs down the wing and into the box/crossed the ball, but there was nobody to get on the end of his final pass.

He also had one good blast at the goal from a long way out, it was a screamer!!!!!!

So difficult to really make a decision on his ability.

Diego Forlans thoughts:-

Brutschin played on the right wing and had a couple of good touches and runs. He certainly has ability and that shot he had, flippin heck it went like a rocket.

I will reserve my view on the player until I have seen him but judging by this it sounds like he packs quite a punch behind his shot, Bobby Gould has said he has a harder shot than Damian Spencer.
