This result still leaves Cheltenham in 21st but it was a good preformance from the Robins with hard work and a bit of good goalkeeping earned the point which could prove crucial come May 3rd

Mark Yates got Cheltenham off to the best possible start after 1 minute when Victory's throw was headed on by Alsop and Yates was there to drive the shot past David Miskelly and into the bottom corner.

Oldham then had a good spell of presssure with a Murray shot that went over and an Eyres free kick that went wide.Oldham came very close to equalising as Sheridan fed Wayne Andrews but his shot missed the post by inches.

However in the 31st minute OLdham's hard work paid off as Low put in a corner and Eyres was there to power in a header fron close range

From the start of the 2nd half Oldham seemed unable to provide the killer finish but it was the Robins who nearly took the lead again as Brough's lob only just went wide

Cheltenham then started to take control of the game as Oldham started to tire and Yates went close but his shot went over.Cheltenham alos had a sucession of free kicks but nothing came from them

It was end to end stuff in the closing minutes as Brown and Spencer caused chaos in the Oldham area but it was the visitors who very nearly won the game but Corazzin's shot was saved by Higgs and the rebound was cleared off the line by Victory.Marvin Brown had the final Cheltenham chance but his shot was palmed over the bar by Miskelly
