Cheltenham Towns gaffer Bobby Gould has confirmed his interest in 4 high profile players and revealed that discussions with Tony Naylor are on going.

Ex Gillingham, Man City and Wolves front man Robert Taylor (pictured left) will be joining the Robins in training. In his time at the Gills he scored 33 goals in 59 starts mainly in the 2nd division, he is certainly a player I would want to join the club.

Rumours have been circulating for a while now about ex West Brom striker Bob Taylor (pictured left) joining, Gould has now confirmed that discussions have continued with the striker who has scored 193 football league goals. However the striker has just undergone a minor operation and will be on the sidelines for 3 weeks. Again he is a player I would like to see join.

Ex Bristol City target man Peter Beadle (pictured left) has scored 89 goals in his time in the football league with both of the Bristol clubs. Out of the 3 strikers Gould has mentioned he would be the one I would least like us to sign but again would be a good option in the mould of Julian Alsop.

Gould also revealed that we are in discussions to bring ex Cardiff man Andy Legg to the club. There has been mixed reaction to this news, people saying we already have left sided players in Victory and McCann, however Legg is known for his versatility and can play anywhere across the back four. His long throws will be profitable if we can secure the signing of one of the above strikers.

Incidentally a previous vote on www.cheltenhamtown.tk showed that 83% of fans were in favour of Bob Taylor signing for us.

Stayed tuned over the coming weeks as Bobby Gould assembles what we all hope will be a promotion winning squad!

Many thanks to Rayman with the help he gave me whilst compiling this story
