Swansea director of football Brian Flynn will give Leon Britton "as much time as possible" to recover from a back injury.

Britton sustained the injury in Tuesday's LDV Vans Trophy defeat by Southend but Flynn is expecting him to be available for the FA Cup tie against Rushden & Diamonds.

Meanwhile, top scorer Lee Trundle had no adverse reaction to his 30 minutes against Southend following a knee injury and will be named in the squad again.

Flynn will be without Middlesbrough's Mark Wilson, along with Manchester United duo Alan Tate and Daniel Nardiello - as they have been refused permission to play.

Rushden & Diamonds striker Onandi Lowe will miss out with a groin strain, while fellow forward Paul Kitson is also sidelined after picking up a knee injury in Tuesday's LDV Vans Trophy defeat against Luton.

Goalkeeper Billy Turley remains out of action with a knee injury, so Paul Evans continues to deputise.

Forward Duane Darby and defender Barry Hunter return to the squad, along with midfielder David Bell, who has recovered from illness.
