Jacques Kallis has been ruled out of South Africa's preparations for the second Test against England at Lord's after deciding to stay at home to spend time with his family.

Jacques Kallis has been ruled out of
South Africa's preparations for the second Test against England at Lord's
after deciding to stay at home to spend time with his family. Kallis flew home after the recent one-day tournament to be with his
seriously-ill father Henry, who died last week. South Africa's management were hopeful he would return for Thursday's
Test, but Kallis has chosen to spend time with his sister. The all-rounder may return in time for the third Test at Trent Bridge
which starts on August 14. Andrew Hall, currently one of Worcestershire's overseas players and a
member of South Africa's recent one-day squad, has been drafted into their
Test party.
