Anderson claims he will link up with the national team for the one-day
matches against Bangladesh next month. The Lancashire star was omitted from the squad for two Test matches in
Bangladesh this month in order to rest a knee weakened by a busy summer of
action. However, he has benefited from the break and is now all set to play a
full part in the limited-overs games. "The knee's fine. I am fully fit and strengthening it with
physiotherapy," Anderson told BBC Sport Online. "I have had a good rest and hopefully I can make up for it on the rest
of the tour. "My knee wasn't serious, it just needed rest after a long summer. "I am now strengthening it to make sure I keep myself fit for the rest
of the winter and play in the more important tours against Sri Lanka and
the West Indies. "I wanted to be on the plane [flying out to Dhaka for the Test matches]
but as it has worked out I have had a good rest and hopefully I can make
up for it on the rest of the tour."
