One winning bet (2/1), and one non runner (Joe Cole) from the midweek column, with a few surprising results making it a good couple of days for the bookies.
On to this weekend, and some mouth watering games in store. Four games being shown live on Sky, starting off with the game of the weekend, the first North London Derby at Cashburden Grave. Where Wenger and Jol's men go head to head…………………

ARSENAL 4/6 - DRAW 5/2 - TOTTENHAM 4/1 (Saturday 12:45) SKY
Arsenal haven’t lost at home, and Spurs haven’t won away this season, so all lump on the home? Not for me. Back to back defeats for the Gunners away at Bolton and Fulham, leaves them 16 points behind pace setters Man United. Rightly so, Wenger has already conceded the title, and they will have one eye on their Champions League clash with Porto next week. With injuries and suspensions disrupting the Arsenal back four, Spurs have a great chance to take something from this game.
Recommended bet: HANDICAP: TOTTENHAM +1 11/10

BLACKBURN 10/11 - DRAW 9/4 - FULHAM 3/1 (Saturday 15:00)
It’s over a week since Blackburn’s last game, an Impressive draw out in Holland, has given them a nice rest going into this game. Fulham did play during the week, and they will be flying, after their first win over Arsenal for an incredible 40 years. Blackburn have only taken eight points from a possible twenty one at Ewood Park this season which is a poor return by last seasons standards. Fulham have only lost two out of seven on the road, so a close low scoring game looks to be on the cards here.

PORTSMOUTH 6/5 - DRAW 11/5 - ASTON VILLA 11/5 (Saturday 15:00)
Third takes on fifth at Fratton Park after contrasting midweek results. O’Neil’s men were on the wrong end of a 3-1 score line at home to Man City, while Pompey grinded out a 0-0 result at Anfield. For me, dare I say it, this is the banker home win of this weekends Premiership fixtures.
Recommended bets: HOME 6/5 KANU TO SCORE AT ANY TIME 7/4

READING 6/4 - DRAW 11/5 - BOLTON 17/10 (Saturday 15:00)
A tight game in store at the Madjeski Stadium, with Reading showing good home form, and Bolton doing well on their travels. Bolton have had two tough games in the last week, facing Arsenal and Chelsea at the Reebok. Reading who didn’t have a midweek fixture will also benefit from the extra rest. I think this will just be enough for Reading to take the spoils by the odd goal.

SHEFFIELD UNITED 5/4 - DRAW 11/5 - CHARLTON 21/10 (Saturday 15:00)
A good display and win for United in the week, even if in the end, the referee decided the result with two poor decisions. Charlton have a terrible one point from twenty one on their travels, and this looks like another win for Warnock’s men.
Recommended bet: HOME 5/4

WIGAN 13/5 - DRAW 9/4 - LIVERPOOL 1/1 (Saturday 15:00)
Liverpool have two points from a possible twenty one on the road this season, but still sit in 7th in the table thanks to an impressive home record. Wigan’s home form isn’t bad reading W3 D2 L1 F10 A6. I see this being a tight game, and for the third game running, with Liverpool fixtures, I’m going to stick with a bet that hasn’t let us down so far.
Recommended bet: 0 OR 1 GOAL/S IN THE GAME 7/4

MIDDLESBOROUGH 5/1 - DRAW 11/4 - MAN UTD 8/15 (Saturday 17:15) SKY
For me, it’s hard to see United getting beaten at the moment. The bookies are giving nothing away, but another three points for Fergie’s men looks a cert.

EVERTON 10/11 - DRAW 9/4 - WEST HAM 3/1 (Sunday 16:00) SKY
The statistics and form book would point towards another home win here. Another team with trouble in the road is West ham, picking up only one point from twenty one. Everton will again be without the important duo of Cahill and Johnson, and I fancy Pardew’s not so happy hammers, to turn the form book on its head, and come away with at least a point from this fixture.

MAN CITY 4/7 - DRAW 13/5 - WATFORD 5/1 (Monday 20:00) SKY
Don’t you just love MNF? I know I do. Living in Watford I have a soft spot for Boothroyd and his yellow army, but they were very disappointing on Tuesday night against Sheffield United, another game covered by Sky. Hopefully they will have Young and Bouazza back from injury, but I just can’t see them getting anything against a Man City team buoyed by an impressive 3-1 win at Villa Park during the week.
