Today there has been a shocking revelation in the Christian Ziege injury story. We all heard news yesterday of a 'leg injury' ruling Christian out for the rest of the season, it now appears that it could have been a lot longer.

Christian sustained a blood clot in his leg after the match against Charlton and if not treated as quickly as it had been could have resulted in the end of his career, or in a worst case scenario, his life.

Christian was complaining of a dead leg after the match, and as the pain continued long after the match, he seeked medical help immediately. His leg was cut open and the blood was drained from it. The wound is said to have been left open for now to keep the blood from re-collecting.

This is a big blow for Spurs fans everywhere as Ziege was notching up several top-class performances for the team, guiding them into a European qualification race.

It remains to be seen how Long Ziege will be out for, all we can do is wish him a speedy and safe recovery and hope the team can do as well without him.
