Malcolm Christie and Derby could make a dramatic u-turn on the proposed transfer to Middlesbrough. The player was believed to be on his way to the Riverside untill recent reports linking the player with a new premiership club.
It is well known Tottenham Hotspur have been interested in a new striker and it is highly likely they have enquired about the player
The deal looked as though it was signed and sealed and would be making his way further north. But that was untill an "unnamed" premiership club signalled a late interest in the player. Sources close to White Hart Lane believe that the club have turned theire attentions away from Michael Ricketts and now want the young Rams striker.
Here is a response from Derby County football club
'We are still holding talks with Middlesbrough about the proposals they have put on the table regarding Malcolm Christie, but have now received a serious inquiry from elsewhere which we are also looking at.'
Meanwhile the Rebrov deal to Fenerbahce looks like breaking down. The turkish club have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have since upped the asking price for the want away striker.
