TOTTENHAM NEWS: Fans need to take urgent action

If like me you were left feeling sick after the so-called performance from Tottenham Hotspur against Manchester City, then now is time to take action.

Whilst there seems to be a recurring problem that Tottenham have lacked passion this season, nothing seems to have been done about it. Losing Hoddle is not the answer yet other issues need to be addressed and very quickly at Tottenham. That is why I have decided to target certain players who have yet to prove themselves worthy of a Tottenham Shirt. It is these types of performances that restrict other players improving and remaining loyal to Tottenham Hotspur football club. This is especially the case when trying to nurture youngsters like Gardner, King and Davies. How can they learn about passion and commitment, when some players are more than happy to sit and accept their salary payments each week or month without justification? It is like owning a shop in a good location with plenty of custom and new stock, yet this is all lost because some of the employees don’t work or serve customers and steal from the organisation. That is how the set up at Tottenham seems to me at this moment in time. We have a good fan base, we are in a good financial position and we have some good players, yet others restrict us from improving because they are more than happy to sit and rape us from achieving our goals. By this I am mainly talking about Bunje and to some extend Poyet and Sheringham. Perhaps it is slightly hard on Sheringham because he has scored and been a good servant to the club. Poyet also has also contributed to the club since his arrival but the frustration of seeing them unable to keep up in a fast game allows me to forget their previous achievements.
However Bunje is not good enough and clearly does not make any attempt to cover this up. He struts around with his shirt hanging out and his socks pulled up (I am sure when Glenn tells him to pull his socks up he thinks he means this literally). So what does he have going for him? Well he can play a pass sideways (when given enough time to execute this masterful moment) and that’s about it? Talk about a one trick pony, although plenty of other animals spring to mind too.

So after clearing out some of our deadwood we find ourselves in the unfortunate position of bringing in more. I just hope Glenn realises this, although it took him around 7 games to realise Doc wasn’t up to it and much more to withdraw Bunje from a game. Perhaps it was the fans that helped him make this decision, who knows? I for one was happy that he got this type of abuse as he fully justified it.

The second point I want to raise is about Tottenham and their refusal to use players who are obviously worthy of a chance in the first team. Although Slabber and Yeates are quite young and are gradually coming through the ranks I want to see them tested in the next few games. Their performances at reserve level have defiantly warranted them a place on the bench. However Blondel has consistently proved himself worthy of a call up to the first team. The fact we are missing a left footed midfielder only adds to my annoyance that he has not been given a chance. He has played with great conviction in reserve games and gives it his all, surely it is this type of attribute we are so dearly missing at present. Toda proved that just a bit of enthusiasm can lift and help the team. It is these minor changes that if noticed would have almost certainly changed the season. And ultimately allowed us a chance to venture outside the UK with a ticket for a European game next season.
So there you have it, slightly controversial but sadly emotions are a hard thing to disguise when you are passionate.

This is a plea my fellow spurs fans to help sort out our current plight. I want you to raise these issues by informing the club officially. Please send the petition below or just a note to show your frustration. This is aimed at players who do not perform and younger players who are not given the chance to perform. Like I have already said there is no point using this as protest against Hoddle (it simply will not work), yet we can force changes by twisting Hoddles arm.

Petition against the club:

I am a loyal Spurs supporter and want to raise three issues.

1) I want Goran Bunjevcevic removed from White Hart Lane and his contract terminated ASAP.
2) I want to show my frustration that worthy younger players (Yeates, Slabber and Blondel) have not been tested this season
3) I want Poyet and Sheringham replaced as soon as an adequate replacement is found (point 2 would possibly have a bearing on this).

I therefore want to officially raise these points to the club. This is in the hope that something can be done to rectify our plight. I would appreciate a formal response from the management of Tottenham Hotspur football club regarding this. I want you to reassure myself and all the other loyal fans that this is being looked into.
