Something as a fan of our national game I find very disturbing indeed, why do we bother to have a governing body and have rules to regulate what goes on within the game for them to make a statement like this is just beyond me. There needs to firm and swift action to prevent this happening again, as bullies have to be brought to account of their actions. I understand that Spurs have offered to double Franks wages but still nowhere near the kind of money Chelsea are offering to snatch Frank from us, but I’m sure the damage has now been done and every Spurs fan will expected Levy to engage a damage limitation plan.

There are demands being made on Chelsea and if we get some compensation and a new DoF then, like the Santini debacle at the start of the season this could be a blessing in disguise. So if Chelsea don't comply to Levy’s demands and Levy is forced to get a legal team and report the issue to the FA, then how will that benefit us?

Not a lot! For example compare us to what happened with Colegate, Chelsea and Cole got hefty fines (well Cole did) Chelsea were hardly slapped on the wrist thus here we are again a few weeks later. Arsenal lost a player from it, Cole got a fine and Chelsea are now saying they don't want Cole. Cole looking for a new club, who won? Not sure by my bet is on Chelsea, walking away from a situation with some reputation damage and a fine which is not as big as Andy Reid’s monthly Pukka Pie bill. Arsenal got nothing from what happened and while at the time I had a little snigger to myself about Arsenal losing out, I now feel that if that was us we would be fuming, not to mention Frankless.

If we do manage to get everything we ask for we will have a free player, be able to sell Keane/Kanoute (?) or release Mido and use Forsell, plus £5mil in the bank and Parkers wages paid for. Oh and a new DoF who will have around £11mil to spend (Davies cash + £5mil + whatever we have left from last season).

We should be grateful we have a director who is smarter than the average bear, and while we need to bring Chelsea to account it will not be to the benefit of Spurs, if they are taken to the FA. Levy has a duty to the shareholders and fans of the club, and not the teams within the league who are barking for Chelsea. Let’s face it we are trying to get into Europe next season and the league title and CL places are no interest to us yet. Let’s look forward to having Parker this coming season and safe in the knowledge we are not paying him a penny.
