Tony Pennock has left Rushden and Diamonds for Farnborough Town, for an undisclosed fee, where he spent a part of last season on loan there. Meanwhile, former cobblers keeper, Adam Sollitt arrives at nene park, on a trial period.
Pennock, the former Yeovil goalkeeper, found it difficult getting into the first team as a regular, because Billy Turley has been on top form.He only made 3 full appearances, in the nationwide league, against Exeter, Darlington, and Hartlepool, and 1 sub appearance, at Leyton Orient, before coming on as sub at Halifax in the last game of the season.
According to thediamondsfc.com Brian Talbot was surprised that he wanted to leave an ambitious club, to return to the conference. Tony wanted to leave, and apparently Farnborough Town made an offer, and Tony went to speak to them.
Talbot also added that he didn't want him to leave, but felt that the money offered was very fair, and couldn't turn it down.
Meanwhile Adam sollit, the former cobblers goalkeeper, has been brought in, on a trial period, as cover for Billy Turley.
