Extra Pictures & Special Thanks

Spireites fans turned out in their droves to witness probably the best open day in recent years. There were lots planned, which ranged from: competitions, to raffles, face painting and Chesterfield memorabilia on sale.
This is where I hold my hands up and say sorry for criticising! My thanks go to the organisers, the workers, everyone who made sure today ran smoothly. Without you this would have never happened. My thanks also go to the players, everyone of them turned out today, being friendly. Signing autographs and posing for pictures. It was pleasing to see them giving something back to the fans who pay their hard earned money every game to watch their local 'heroes' play!
A thanks must go to Peak 107, who hosted the live show absolutely free, with everyone of the cast members at Saltergate. A few of those deserve a mention; Becky Measures, who played in the football match that kicked off at 2pm, also Naz, who is presenter of 'Back of the net' who had 'that' shot and 'that' miss to balance itself out. How did you miss that one mate? Also to Gav, who took the match very seriously and produced some good stuff! Also to the diehards that took part: Jonno Smith, who got mistaken for an ex pro but they couldn't understand why he looked like he could still be playing, you've got talent! But this time, a case of mistaken identity! Man of the match in my opinion up until he went off through injury! And also, Simon Wall who featured in the match, alongside legends like Mark Jules!
Tina Jenner should get a special mention, for her work on the camera over the season. She has provided us with some of the greatest moments we want to relive time and time again. She had some of her excellent work available to buy. I really can't do her work justice so go and have a look for yourself. I will tell you more next Saturday when I get a photo off her of Reeves, sorry people, I know it's time to move on but this is a reminder!
Here are a few photos that didn't make it into the player profiles. First up is probably my favourite after the ones that I had took accompanying Alan O'Hare & Wayne Allison!!
This is Alan O'Hare and The Chief: http://www.sportnetwork.net/mainadmin/img/1531091376030.jpg
Next up is Chester the field mouse with the teddy that he stole but then gave back to the Connexions stall: http://www.sportnetwork.net/mainadmin/img/1531091376067.jpg
Here is the view of the Kop just before the open day started to get busy: http://www.sportnetwork.net/mainadmin/img/1531091376006.jpg
Last but by no means last, the most sacred of all, apart from the Kop, the thing that makes the club, the players. Here is Mark Debolla, Shane Nicholson, Steve Blatherwick, Derek Niven & Carl Muggleton getting into the spirit of things: http://www.sportnetwork.net/mainadmin/img/1531091376048.jpg
And a special thanks, to all the fans that went today and spent as much or as little money as you could!!
