Llanelli Through, Rhyl Out

There were mixed fortunes for the two Welsh clubs in UEFA cup action, as Llanelli knocked out Swedish outfit, Gefle, 2-1 on aggregate. However, Rhyl were unable to follow up last season's success, crashing out to Suduva of Latvia, 2-1.

Llanelli will now face Danish opposition in the form of Odense in the second qualifying round.
