Dragons net Premier trialists

Wrexham have took Caersws' prolific striker Graham Evans and Bangor's young midfield ace Owain Tudur Jones on trial. The duo are set to play for the reserves on Wednesday for the promotion-pushing Division 3 outfit.

Evans, pictured above, has been a long-term target of Dragons manager Denis Smith, whilst Jones is one of the several promising Welsh Premier starlets that he has his eye on.

Smith said 'both lads have potential and we're just going to have a look at them. I've seen the lad Jones play last season and he looks very useful. We also know all about Evans and we're hoping he will show up well.'

                                       

Jones is believed to have impressed the former Stoke legend when playing for Bangor in their UEFA cup win over Sartid at the Racecourse in AUugst. However, 'Lofty' has been out injured for over 4 months, but his Christmas return to the Bangor side has seen the Citizens step up their title challenge.

Evans' manager and father, Mickey was once a Wrexham hero, and made over 450 appearances during a 13 year spell at the Racecourse, between 1966 and 1979.
