A mystery businessman was today set to make a bid for Llanelli, according to the 'Llanelli Star'. The Reds, who have just been relegated from the Welsh Premier after a disastrous season have been described as a 'sleeping giant'.
A club official confirmed the interest, saying 'It could be the start of something very exciting for the club.'
The Reds have had three dificult seasons in the Welsh Premier and the inevitable relegation was confirmed as early as April.
The Stebonheath Park based club will be competing in the Welsh First Division next season, and in the right hands the club will be confident of a swift return to the top tier.
