Barry Announce Triple Signing

Barry Town have clinched an impressive triple signing, which sees former keeper Mark Ovendale return to Jenner Park, followed by Port Vale winger Paul Byrne and Kingstonian striker David Ocquaye.

Mark Ovendale (left) will return to Jenner Park after being
released by Nationwide League Division Two crisis club Luton
Town. Ovendale won the League of Wales championship with Barry
in 1995, and joined Bournemouth for £30k and a sell-on-fee in
April 1998. After a successful few years at Dean Court he
attracted a big money move to Luton in 2000, moving to
Kenilworth Road for a £425k fee. The Dragons will be
delighted to capture a reliable goalkeeper, after some erratic
displays from Nigerian international stopper Abi Baruwa.

surprise when the youngster was released in the summer of
2003.' The South African born winger has been promptly snapped up by the Welsh Premier
Champions. 
The
Dragons have also snapped up Kingstonian's young striker David
Ocquaye (left). The 21 year old former Hampton and Richmond
Borough starlet spent time at Charlton Athletic's academy, and
has been described as a 'pacey and powerful targetman'.
