Rhyl have confirmed work on a new 500 seater stand will begin shortly, increasing the capacity to over 1000, meaning the club meet UEFA ground criteria should they be playing European football next season.

Rhyl FC have confirmed that
building of a new 500 all-seater stand, which will increase
seating capacity at Belle Vue to over 1000, will begin
imminently. The news is a big boost to Lilywhites fans, as
completion of the stand will ensure the club are able to play
at least the home leg of the first round of European
competition be played at their Belle Vue home. www.rhylfc.com
report that "The new stand will be situated alongside the
existing main stand behind the away dugout, and will ensure
that we meet UEFA standards for competition in the future.
Work on the construction of the stand will begin soon".
Meanwhile, the 2nd placed
club are looking to stamp down on anti-social behaviour at
Belle Vue and have created a ground charter which includes a
total ban on alcohol within the stadium, in order to retain
it's reputation as a 'friendly, family club'.
