Deano Set For Saints Departure

Veteran T.N.S. Goalkeeper Dean Williams is set to leave Treflan, following a bust up with manager Ken McKenna. The 31 year old has recently lost his first team place to young Irish keeper Ged Doherty and is keen to find first team football elsewhere.

Williams, appears to have played his last game for T.N.S.
Following a return from a neck injury obtained in early
February, Williams has been forced to play for the reserves,
following Ged Doherty's return from his loan spell at Barry
Town. It is unclear whether his loss of the number one jersey
is the root of the disagreement with manager Ken McKenne
But Saints
Manager McKenna now faces an even bigger problem, as Doherty
will be suspended for at least one game following his sending
off in Saturday's 3-0 home win over Barry. This leaves no
recognised keeper on the league leader's books, and McKenna is
already looking for a replacement as his team look to win the
title race against Rhyl
Meanwhile
Bangor will play local rivals Porthmadog in a friendly match
on Monday evening at Farrar Road. The match will be used to
test the fitness of goalkeeper Phil Preistley who has been
suffering from a long-term knee injury. Both teams are also
expected to give a match to a number of trialists.
