Welshpool Town have surprisingly sacked the manager who led them from the Cymru Alliance to Welsh Premier survival. Russell Cadwallader was sacked after 5 years at the helm at Maes-y-Dre.

Welshpool Town have surprisingly sacked manager of five years, Russell Cadwallader. The Welshpool board cited a disappointing season as the reason for the 'mutual' decision. Town finished in 15th place, a position that Cadwallader thought would please the board after being told at the start of the season that survival was the target.
