League leaders T.N.S.'s new year got off to a catastrophic start with a 5-2 thumping at local rivals Welshpool. There was an upturn in fortune for Bangor City, beating Caernarfon 2-0 on a mudbath at Farrar Road. Port Talbot avenged their Boxing Day Steel Town defeat with a 1-0 win at Afan Lido.
