Manager and Player of the Month named

Aberystwyth Town manager Dave Burrows is named Manager of the Month for February and TNS' Steve Evans scoops the Player of the Month award.

ABERYSTWYTH Town manager, Dave Burrows has been give reason to cheer after being named Vauxhall MasterFit Retailers Manager of the Month for February.

Aberystwyth’s record of  ten points from a possible 18 – Town played the most number of league matches during the month – ensured that Dave won his first Manager of the Month Award.

An impressive 1-0 victory over Caersws as well as wins at Airbus UK and Llanelli, together with a 0-0 home draw against Carmarthen Town provided the points.

Dave’s managerial role hasn’t affected his playing career, as he is now nearing 250 Welsh Premier League appearances and scored 20 goals in a career spanning the life of the League.

The Player of the Month award went to Steve Evans of Total Network Solutions.

As the race for the championship looks like becoming a race between the reigning champions Rhyl and TNS, Evans has proved priceless over the last month for the Llansantffraid club through his marshalling of the back four which has created a virtual barricade, having conceded only twenty goals in 25 games.

Steve began his Welsh Premier career in 1999 and has played 103 times for TNS and a also appeared for Oswestry Town scoring 22 goals in the process.
