Rhayader's appeal dismissed

At a League of Wales meeting on Tuesday, Rhayader's appeal against relegation from the LofW to the Cymru Alliance has been dismissed. This will mean Welshpool will take their place in the LofW for the forthcoming season.

This brings and end to months of uncertainty, since Welshpool first appealed the original decision to refuse them permission to enter the league due to their ground not bieng enclosed and adjacent to a cricket pitch.

However, after a further inspection, and appeal, their ground was accepted into the League, meaning relegation for last season's basement boys, Rhayader.

However, the men from the Weirglodd were not happy and launched their own appeal, meaning the fixture list was up in arms, as the ultimate decision as to who would be playing in the League has not yet been reached.

Tuesday's meeting should hopefully bring an end to this lengthy, and contraversial issue, with Welshpool replacing Rhayader in the League of Wales.
