Tonight is Pontypridd's fourth Celtic League outing and having one their last two matches they will be confident of extending that unbeaten run to three.

Pontypridd vs. Scottish Borders

Pontypridd's fourth match in Pool B of the Celtic league is against the newly formed Scottish Borders. So far the Borders have failed to win a game however they may be looking to change that at Sardis Road tonight.

Famous names such as Gregor Townsend, Gary Armstrong, Doddie Weir and George Graham are included in their squad for this season, which has undergone heavy recruitment throughout the summer.

The last time the Borders had a team and played Ponty was in the Heineken Cup in 1997. Both results that year went Ponty's way with a 23 - 16 win in Scotland followed by a 46 - 26 win at Sardis Road. In that match at Sardis Road, Neil Jenkins was captain and Jason Lewis and Gareth Wyatt also played. However, that day a different Neil was the hero - loosehead prop Neil Eynon scored two tries along with efforts from Kevin Morgan and Stuart Roy.

Hopefully Ponty can come away with a similar result today and pick up a full five points, almost guaranteeing further participation in this seasons Celtic League.
