Pontypridd went into this match having won their last three games however, Glasgow had a 100% record going into the match and would not be willing to give that record up easily. For a full report on the match action read on...
Pontypridd 34 - 28 Glasgow
Pontypridd started well with a try from Matthew Rees but finished poorly as they snatched a well deserved win from Glasgow. After Smiler got the early try and Davey kicked a penalty, Glasgow came into the game with a try of their own.
The match was all square before fighting broke out between both teams. A mass brawl followed and as a result Nick Kelly was rather harshly sent to the sin bin. This spurred on the 14 Ponty players and as a result they grabbed a second try through Sonny Parker, ending the half 17 - 8 in front.
Early in the second half, a Glasgow player got sin binned and as a result Ponty piled on the pressure and were rewarded with a Ceri Sweeney try. Shortly after, Ponty had a scrum under the Glasgow posts and a pushover try for Michael Owen was a result. This left Ponty leading 34 - 14.
As the match was won and the bonus point claimed, Ponty relaxed a little and leaked two late tries but despite this poor finish they held on for a 34 - 28 win.
The result keeps Ponty third in Pool B but more importantly, the win moves them closer to the quarter finals.
