Challenge Cup Update

   It has now been confirmed that Pontypridd along with Llanelli, Cardiff and Bridgend will take part in the Challenge Cup against South African opposition. Pontypridd will play host to the Blue Bulls and Orange Free State with the best welsh team and the best South African team contesting the final. Joost Van De Weistheizen is expected to be included in the Blue Bulls squad that will face Ponty.

Round 1: Friday, November 8

Pontypridd v Blue Bulls,

Cardiff v Orange Free State ,

 Llanelli v Western Province,

Bridgend v Eastern Province 

Round 2: Tuesday, November 12

Cardiff v Blue Bulls,

 Pontypridd v Orange Free State,

 Bridgend v Western Province,

Llanelli v Eastern Province .

FINAL: Friday, November 15

Best Welsh team v Best SA team

Each team will be awarded 4 points for a win, 2 points for a draw and 1 point for losing within seven points of the opposition. There is also a bonus point on offer for scoring more than 4 tries in a match.
