Gareth Cooper

The Bridgend Pontypridd region are understood to still be in negotiations over a move for Bath's Gareth Cooper. It had originally been hoped that Bath would allow Cooper to join the newco in time for the start of next season however Cooper, who has a year to go on his current contract may be retained by Bath until his contract expires.

However, www.valleysravens.tk think that it may be possible that Cooper will move to the newco in time for next season as Bath are rumoured to be after either Martin Wood from London Wasps or Sam Cordingley who will be released by Swansea at the end of this season.

Dafydd James

This weekend Scrum V reported that Dafydd James has not yet signed a contract with the newco. Apparently James has been offered a hugely reduced contract as he is no longer considered to be an international player. There had been a lot of interest shown in James earlier this season and at one time Gloucester looked as though they would be securing his services.

We are unsure as to whether James will be playing for the newco next season but if he decides to move away then it will probably be a move to Gloucester.
