Gareth Thomas to skipper the Newco

Gareth Thomas will captain the Bridgend-Pontypridd regional team next season. 

Many people had been unsure whether or not Thomas would make a move to Cardiff but it looks as though being made captain may have influenced him to sign for Bridgend-Pontypridd for next season.

Other announcements made by the newco confirm that Lynn Howells' assistant will be Allan Lewis and also the fitness coach for the newco will be Swansea's Nick Johnston
