The Cardiff
Blues are one of two teams which survived the amalgamation process
although owing to a lack of strength in depth, much recruitment was
necessary over the summer. The Blues have brought in internationals like
Ton Shanklin, Gareth Williams, Craig Quinnell, Andy Moore and Gavin
Thomas in the hope of strengthening their squad ready for this seasons
Celtic League and Heineken Cup but we will have to wait to find out if spending
money will bring success.
