Warriors 0 Ulster 28 - Match Review

The Warriors saw there Celtic League aspirations blown out of the window on Friday night when they lost heavily to a strong well drilled Ulster XV. For match review read on.

Centre Shane Stewart and flanker Neil McMillan laid the foundations with first half tries, with David Humphreys adding two penalties and a conversion.

Humphreys added another penalty after the break and his 64th minute converted try put the result beyond doubt

The Warriors rarely threatened the Ulster line and when they did the inevitable mistakes occured.

The line out was awful, Sid once again looked 10 yards behind the pace, Deniol Jones is no Wales player on that performance.

But they are only 2 players who were smashed up front, the Warriors simply did not have the hunger and want for the game.

We kicked away ball badly, ran it when a kick was needed. JB was up against two big strong centres so we should have used the miss one to James and use his pace?

Why was John selected at scrum half, was Sio carrying a knock? It looked more of a game suited to Sio for me.

The ref once again was a disgrace and seems to be a theme in the Celtic League, he missed so much.

The 2,000 or so that braved the weather and paid good money to watch this rubbish, rightly booed at half and full time. Performances like this cannot be tolerated, we are capable of far better.

Our Celtic League chances may have blown out the window but we must finish the season with pride, who knows if we carry on in this vein the Parker Pen is a possibility.
